Y’akoto has released a video for "Tobo Darling", the third outtake from her current album "Moody Blues" following "Perfect Timing" and "Come Down To The River" .

Watch the clip below that was shot in L.A. and directed by Patrick Reilley. Set in a barbershop, the video recreates a vivid memory from Y’akoto’s childhood in Ghana, where barbershops were a communal place for both men and women to get together, talk about every day life and trade the latest gossip.

Tune in to German radio station NDR 2 to listen to a full Y’akoto concert from Hamburg

In December, Y’akoto and her French band played the last show of their tour in support of the current album "Babyblues" in Hamburg. German radio station NDR 2 will be broadcasting a live recording of the stunning concert on March 2 (part 1) and April 13 (part 2), at 9 p.m. respectively. Tune in!

Watch the clip below, which shows the songstress in an intimate close-up that goes in accordance with the emphatic lyrics of the song in which Y’akoto sings: "I’ll be down at the river / Waiting for your soul / To be with me forever".

Y’akoto has announced her new album "Moody Blues" for an August 22 release! The first single off the album is entitled "Perfect Timing" and arrives August 1.

The new album is once again a collaboration with Kahedi (Max Herre, Samon Kawamura und Roberto di Gioia), Mocky und Haze, further productions come from Ben Cullum from London. The new record deals with the dualities of life – light and shadow, coming and going, consistency and change.
